Terms and Conditions

All participants must sign an Indemnity Form before joining the tour. Please ensure every participant is informed of this requirement.

For insurance purposes, please provide each participant’s name, age, gender, and nationality via the online reservation form, and email it to us with your ORDER ID as reference.

All personal information will remain strictly private and confidential under Traverse Tours Sdn. Bhd.

Claim Notification: In case of accidental bodily injury, written notice must be submitted to the insurance company within 30 days of the incident.
Group Personal Accident Policy: Maximum claimable medical expenses – RM1,000.00

Only individuals who are physically fit, regardless of age, may participate. However, even if a child meets the fitness requirements, participation may be denied at our discretion.

Website Booking

• Booking: Instant online booking via our website
• Payment Required: Full payment at the time of booking
• Applicable Tours: All tours
  
• Remarks: Subject to availability and booking confirmation

Telephone / Walk-In Reservation

• Booking Period: At least 1 day before the tour
• Required: Full payment upon pick-up
• Applicable Tours: All tours except Kinabatangan River Cruise
• Remarks: Subject to availability

Email Reservation

• Booking Period: At least 5 days before the tour
  
• Payment Required: 50% deposit; balance payable upon pick-up
• Applicable Tours: All tours except Kinabatangan River Cruise
• Remarks: Subject to availability

No refund will be given for unused services (accommodation, meals, transport, or others) included in the tour fare. Refunds cannot be exchanged for other items or credits.

All cancellations must be in writing and acknowledged by our reservation staff.

• 1 day before departure: 50% of the total amount charged.
  
• No show: 100% of the total amount charged.

Cancellation or Postponement by Traverse Tours Sdn. Bhd

We reserve the right to change, postpone, or cancel any tour due to unforeseen circumstances that make it impossible or inadvisable to operate. No claims or compensation will be entertained. 

Most tours operate in remote or wilderness areas, where unpredictability is common. Despite careful planning, unexpected events such as weather changes, transport issues, or political situations may alter itineraries.

Participants should understand that:

• Itineraries are intent statements, not contractual guarantees.
• Some areas may lack urban-level emergency, health, or safety services due to limited communication.
• Road travel may be uncomfortable or unreliable.

The land agent or trip leader may make changes as needed, with or without prior consultation.
Traverse Tours Sdn. Bhd. will minimize disruptions but cannot be held responsible for any delays, changes, or their consequences.

We strongly recommend that only fit, well-prepared individuals who understand the inherent risks participate in these tours.
